Alkitab LAI 3.1

The 'Alkitab LAI' application functions as an official digital newsstand developed and authorized by Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia (LAI), Indonesia's Bible Society. It provides free access to the New Translation of the Bible (Terjemahan Baru) and offers a selection of other LAI-published titles available for purchase.

The biblical text is presented with a layout reminiscent of the printed edition, aiming to facilitate a familiar reading experience. Key features include:

• Exact replication of the cover and formatting of the printed Bible
• Page navigation that faithfully imitates the physical act of turning pages
• Adjustable viewing modes between Portrait and Landscape orientations
• Zoom functionality to enlarge text, enhancing readability, particularly for elderly users

Once downloaded, the app operates independently of an internet connection, enabling users to read the included Bible content anytime and anywhere.

The application is under ongoing development through a collaboration between Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia and PT Mahoni Global, with future updates expected to introduce enhancements such as annotation capabilities (highlighting, underlining, coloring), markup tools, night mode, and more.
